Group 1: Language A

English
IB English is a genuinely international literature course. The syllabus includes texts in translation from all around the world, whilst at A level the texts must have originally been written in English.

Unlike A level, the IB includes oral presentation as a method of assessment, whilst the written coursework and one of the final examinations are essentially exercises in comparative literature.
