Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme

St. Helen's has been part of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme for many years with about half of Years 10 and 11 participating and successfully completing their Bronze and Silver Awards. An impressive number of girls go on to pursue the Gold Award in the Sixth Form.

Girls must complete four elements to gain an Award: an Expedition, a Service element, Physical Recreation and a Skill element, providing many opportunities to get involved in a range of activities and to develop new interests.
