Music News

Congratulations to Jen Lim in Year 8 who has recently been selected to play as part of the National Children’s Orchestra’s Main Orchestra. This offers the opportunity to take part in two residential courses and to take part in the NCO’s 30th Anniversary Concert at Symphony Hall in Birmingham. The Orchestra will also be touring Italy in September, for which they are currently fundraising. This is a fantastic achievement and a great opportunity, and we wish Jen every success.

Last weekend, Katherine Sammes, Rachel Whalley, Rebecca Kassam, Olivia Clayton, Tamsyn Clark, Anna Gledhill and Dara Oyewole took part in a showcase concert at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the local youth orchestra, Harrow Young Musicians, playing pieces from Verdi’s opera ‘Falstaff’ and Vaughan Williams’ ‘ Sinfonia Antarctica’. This was a wonderful experience for all the girls involved.

Finally, very well done to Rebecca Kassam (Year 10) who has passed her ATCL Diploma in Bassoon with Distinction. This is a fantastic achievement and we are extremely proud of her.

Our next Open Morning is on Wednesday 24th June 2009.  Please click here for more details and to book a place.
