Music

Music at St. Helen’s is popular, with all girls studying the subject in Years 7, 8 and 9. We achieve excellent results at GCSE and in the Sixth Form, at both AS/A2 level and International Baccalaureate.

The Department is housed in its own building, Fitzwalters, and is equipped with a large recital room and numerous practice rooms.

We offer individual music lessons in a range of instruments and there are a variety of opportunities for girls to get involved with the choirs, orchestras or jazz bands. We organise regular concerts and performances, including the annual Joint Concert with Merchant Taylors’ School.
