Department Aims
The Department is staffed by experts who have total focus on teaching the Sixth Form and who aim to achieve academic excellence within a context of learning that is enjoyable and relevant. We encourage and provide opportunities for students to take ownership of their own learning and to develop keen analytical skills.

- Latest data is presented on interactive whiteboards in each teaching location.
- Visiting speakers from real businesses/economy.
- Visits e.g. Bank of England, GLA, Department visit to Prague
- Activities e.g. Young Enterprise (girls run their own business in competitive teams; Eyewitness (sourcing and editing a monthly newspaper); Economic Film Club (recognising economic/business concepts); Investment Challenge (playing the stock market); Predict the Rate of Interest (shadowing the MPC).
