Year 13 drama lesson

Drama at St. Helen’s is of a high standard, with girls encouraged to take part in the performing arts outside the curriculum. Plays and musicals are regularly produced which involve pupils over a wide age range.

In Years 7-9, all girls study Drama and it is a popular option at GCSE. In the Sixth Form, we offer Drama and Theatre Studies at AS/A2 level: a primarily practical course supported by written coursework that aims to promote an enjoyment of and interest in drama and theatre both as a participant and an informed member of the audience. Girls taking the International Baccalaureate can choose to study Theatre Arts at either Standard or Higher Level which offers an integrated study of many aspects of theatre, both practical and theoretical.

We also offer individual lessons in Speech and Drama for those girls who wish to work towards LAMDA examinations.
