Girls in Green

We are delighted to announce the publication of 'Girls in Green: A Portrait of St. Helen’s, Northwood'.

With vivid illustrations and a compelling narrative, the book charts the remarkable history of St Helen’s and the unique ethos that drives this outstanding school. There are lively anecdotes from Old Girls, staff and current pupils describing the school’s colourful journey from its foundation by May Rowland Brown in a modest 19th century house to today’s vibrant and highly respected modern school. Archival images and contemporary photographs complement the text to portray a school where pupils feel valued and part of a larger family, and where academic excellence flourishes. School traditions are explained and the dedicated teachers who brought about the school’s success and growth are affectionately remembered.

You can preview a selection of pages from the book.

Copies of the book can be ordered directly from the school by downloading and completing the order form.
