Little St. Helen's Sports Day

On Thursday afternoon the weather was just perfect for our 2010 Sports Day.

The girls thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a variety of races and all performed extremely well. The Reception girls showed proficiency in balancing teddy bears on spoons, Year 1 enjoyed their obstacle race and Year 2 were highly skilled in skipping. The speed of the running races was amazing; we could have some potential Olympians! The Nursery rotation of activities was an ideal opportunity to see the different skills the girls have acquired over the year. They took great delight in taking part in the special ‘Daisy’ race and all the petals and daisies had smiles from ear to ear! The Nursery girls received a special participation certificate and the Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 girls were given participation stickers. The happy event ended with a delicious strawberry tea and it was a delight to see so many parents and girls enjoying themselves and circulating.
