Christmas at Junior School
The girls in Junior School have enjoyed an extremely festive end of term with lots of activities taking place around the school.
The festivities began on Thursday 10th December when some of the Year 4 girls went to Erskine Hall to sing carols. They sang beautifully and the elderly residents really enjoyed the girls' visit.
On Friday, the PTA organised the annual Secrets Room when the girls can come and choose a present for a member of their family to put away until Christmas. As always, this was a huge success and the girls were really excited to pick their gifts.
To start the last week of term, Year 3 and 4 treated parents and staff to their Christmas Play on Monday and Tuesday. This was a hilarious production and we enjoyed performances from a number of budding actresses and an impressive number of solo singers. All the girls acted and sang with great confidence and the production was a testament to the hard work of all involved.
Also on Tuesday, we had our Christingle service. All the Year 3 girls had made a Christingle and the girls enjoyed learning about its significance.
To round off the week, on the penultimate day of term, we enjoyed our House Carol competition and Christmas lunch which took place in the Rowland Brown Hall, adding a real sense of occasion - just like going to a banquet, as one girl commented!
