After School Clubs

We offer a variety of activities in our After School Clubs to girls in Year 2. Some of the clubs that we offer include: Creative Club, Cooking, Sewing, Out & About, Card Making, ICT, Science, Folk Dance and Board Games. Different clubs are available throughout the year. Girls have the opportunity of choosing a different club each term.

Here are some examples of what happens in our clubs:

ICT Club
The girls learn to use the beebots and the tracking bus to improve their directional skills. They are eager to use the Digiblue Movie Maker. The girls produce their own short video clips and learn how to put in special effects. They then show these clips on the interactive white boards.

Folk Dance Club
The girls learn folk dances from different countries. They learn a variety of interesting steps. This helps improve their co-ordination, sequencing and motor skills.

Creative Club
The girls design and make a variety of useful things such as designing, making and decorating a photograph frame.

Out & About Club
The girls take part in a variety of activities such as nature walks, playground games, skipping, bug hunting, using outside apparatus, football. It is a very popular club which involves anything that the girls can take part in outside.

Science Club
The aim of this club is to get the girls excited about Science. The girls conduct a variety of experiments every week which they thoroughly enjoy. Experiments include using a variety of materials to make boats. The girls find out which materials float and whether the shape of a boat affects this.
