Good Schools Guide

St. Helen's has a glowing write-up in the Good Schools Guide.  Some of the comments included in the guide are:

  • "Mrs Morris is an inspirational head who is also huge fun"
  • "...teaching strong across the board but pupils drool over sciences - 'the department is absolutely amazing', said one"
  • "Head is passionate about IT and there can be very few girls' schools - and not many boys' schools - which are as far ahead and well-provided for as at St Helen's"
  • "school's support for and involvement in languages ... is a joy"
  • "seemingly endless pool, in stunning new building, already in enthusiastic use"
  • "representation in lacrosse, swimming, cross country and netball county teams and much success for school teams in all these sports ..."
  • "Art is varied, witty and serious"
  • "Lots of collaboration with Merchant Taylors' boys up the road - the annual musical now a tradition and very professional"
  • "The site is everything.  Unbeatable in its generous, green space, its trees and gardens."
  • "Equally natural here ... is the happy co-existence of girls from all over the world."
  • "Staff/student relationships palpably cordial"
  • "Civilised behaviour the norm here"
  • "Get in at 3 if you can and crow over your neighbours for the next fifteen years"
