Boarding

St Helen's encompasses a vibrant community of up to thirty boarders in the 'Gwyer' boarding house.  Some of the girls' thoughts about boarding are as follows:

Our everyday life is generally relaxed. The girls are friendly and approachable. They know how to enjoy themselves and make new people feel at home. At the same time, they are diligent and hardworking, and respect each others’ needs.

Everyone who steps into Gwyer is immediately welcomed and part of this close-knit family. No one is ever left out and homesickness is nursed with a little TLC.

All Gwyer girls are taken good care of in the house. One can help herself to pizza, ice-cream and whatever one’s heart desires. Popping into the common room for a quick chat with friends or watching your favourite TV show is no rare occurrence.

What we love about Gwyer is how flexible it is. With London in our backyard, we’re no strangers to theatre, shopping or the cosmopolitan lifestyle.

As you can see, Gwyer is not just an ordinary boarding house. It is one filled with love, laughter and friendship. We hope that you can take back from Gwyer a truly memorable and enriching experience.

Please note that boarding will no longer be available from July 2009.

Our next Open Morning is on Wednesday 24th June 2009.  Please click here for more details and to book a place.
